Here you are close to Søby Sø, one of Denmark's cleanest heath lakes, with a beautiful, child-friendly swimming shore. In Søby there are impressive brown coal dumps, around whose 16 km² with their bright sandy peaks and ocher red coal lakes you can observe a rich plant and animal life. Also visit the Lignite Museum, where you can experience how hard life was in the barracks of World War II and the following years. Only about a fifteen-minute drive from the house is Herning, where there is something for all ages. In the Boxen and Exhibition Center there are four different arrangements such as concerts and exhibitions. Baboon City is a covered playground for children and the young at heart. Store at Herning Center with stores and restaurants to suit all tastes, and indulge in wellness at DGI-Huset. Also visit the many galleries and their always new exhibitions.
