Perdifumo itself is located in the western part of beautiful Cilento on the northern slope of 1130-meter Monte Stella, the highest mountain you will find in the vicinity, and is part of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park. The area of Cilento in the Campania region, in the south of Italy, between Paestum in the north, Sapri in the south and the Vallo di Diano in the east, is an insider's tip for those who love authentic Italy far from the usual bed and breakfast resorts. Here you will find small, characteristic hamlets in the hills with a wonderful panoramic view, chic coastal villages with free and equipped sandy beaches or small, idyllic bathing bays with crystal clear water, where you can drink an aperitif in the evening on the piazza or where a small harbor invites you for a walk. In an elevated position above the town and reachable in a few minutes by car is Castellabate itself, an ancient hamlet dating back to 1123, a picturesque labyrinth of alleys, stairways and small squares that allows the viewer to enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding hills on the one hand and a long stretch of coastline on the other. Don't miss a visit to the famous temple complex of Paestum in the north of Cilento, which is only about 24 km away.
